The American College of Sports Medicine, in partnership with
the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), the National Institute
of Aging (NIA), the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP),
the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the
American Geriatric Society (AGS), has developed the Active Aging
Partnership (AAP). The mission of the AAP is to advocate the need
for physical activity in older adults and to promote the benefits
