Site : International Walk to School
Each October, millions
of children, parents, teachers and community leaders across the globe
walk to school to celebrate an International Walk to School. Communities
can choose to celebrate for a day, a week, once a week or the entire
month with International Walk to School Month. In the USA, the focus
will remain on Walk to School Day with support for communities that
choose to celebrate for the length of time and dates that fit their
interests and resources. The next Walk to School Day will be held on
Wednesday, October 3, 2007.
The US
web site offers online registration, instructions on how
to get involved and resources to help plan a walk in your
community.
