Crash Type   Motorist drove out - stop sign, flashing red
Countermeasure   Encourage motorists to look both ways
 
Although there is no official sign in the MUTCD that says "Look Both Ways", at locations with known crash problems it might be appropriate to install a sign that says this to encourage motorists to check for pedestrians and for bicyclists who may be riding against traffic.
